Wild Water Canoeing

K & C has been for years Finland's leading club in canoe slalom. The most commonly used training place is situated on Oulujoki river under the railway bridge, where can be found about 35 gates. Kiiminki's Koiteli rapids 20 km east from Oulu are also an interesting place for white water kayakers and especially Tulikurkku rapid 1 km above Koiteli, where are about 20 gates. The Canoeing Center of Taivalkoski is situated at about 150 km from Oulu in the East and is also a nice place to train.

Junior section

The Junior Section offers young paddlers the opportunity to try out many different kayaking disciplines.

Canoe polo

Canoe Polo is a team sport where the objective is to score in the opponent's net. Canoe Polo is a fast and enjoyable way to practice canoeing and is also excellent to learn and developp basic technical skills and speed.

Tour Kayaking

This section is proposing recreational or touring kayaking on the sea, rivers and lakes. This includes everything from short day trips to week-long expeditions. In the spring after the ice has melt touring kayaking season is starting with usually trips on rivers, whereas trips or excursions on lakes and on the sea are organized later in summer and in autumn. Short evening session are regularly organized in order to developp needed fitness and technical skillsfor longer trips.
